3 Villages Ride – $ 55

This hill is located at the slopes of Atitlan Volcano, used by Shamans as a Mayan altar. The Shamans believe that this hill is a portal to the “Xibalba” (Underworld). In this hike you will walk around 2 miles (3.22 km.)

Santa Catarina and San Antonio Palopó are small villages that have plenty to show. Palopó it’s formed by two native meanings, “palo” means three and “poj” means “amate”, that means “Palo de Amate”. On its main streets you still see kids and women using their prehispanic loom.
